It’s here! In just six weeks after the release of Autodesk Vault 2026, our development team released the 2026 versions of your most trusted coolOrange products and they’re more powerful, more flexible, and more future-ready than ever.

With Autodesk Vault and Inventor 2026 now officially released, the entire coolOrange product suite has been updated and optimized to support the latest platform. From smarter scripting and automation to improved licensing and ERP integration, each product in this release reflects our ongoing commitment to performance, reliability, and forward-thinking development.

This article outlines what has changed, what’s improved, and what you can now do with the 2026-compatible versions of our tools.

Full Compatibility with Vault & Inventor 2026

Every major coolOrange product has been updated for compatibility with Vault 2026 and Inventor 2026. This includes:

This ensures your upgrade path to Autodesk 2026 products remains smooth, with no disruption to your automations, customizations, or integrations.

PowerShell 7: More Than Just Support

One of the key themes across the 2026 releases is full support for PowerShell 7.
In particular:

  • powerEvents v26 now self-hosts PowerShell 7 for both Vault Client and Inventor, allowing custom scripts to take full advantage of PowerShell 7.4 cmdlets.

  • powerPLM and powerJobs Processor also now support running cmdlets in both Windows PowerShell and PowerShell Core, giving teams flexibility to build, test, and run scripts in their preferred environments.

  • powerVault v26 includes a PowerShell 7.4 console, now available for both Vault 2025 and Vault 2026.

This unified scripting environment improves security, expands functionality, and simplifies the use of modern cmdlets across your workflows.

New in powerGate: ERP Connectivity, Reassured

The 2026 update of powerGate Client ensures that your Vault-ERP integration workflows are fully compatible with Autodesk Vault 2026 and Inventor 2026.

Whether you're transferring bill of materials (BOMs), syncing metadata, or integrating engineering with production systems, this release gives your ERP connection the stability and compatibility it needs.

Additionally, powerGateServer v26 includes improvements in visibility and versioning. Under "Programs and Features", the product name now correctly appears as coolOrange powerGateServer, restoring consistency with the rest of the product suite. It also corrects file versioning issues that previously affected assembly and executable identification.

powerJobs: Smarter Processing with a Clean Break from the Past

powerJobs Client and powerJobs Processor now fully support Vault and Inventor 2026.
Processor, in particular, brings several valuable updates:

  • Full support for PowerShell 7 across cmdlets and custom applications

  • Support for DWG TrueView 2026, ensuring compatibility with the latest DWG tools

  • Cleanup of outdated functionality by removing support for deprecated Vault API objects, such as old $changeOrder properties, which have been replaced by optimized powerVault interfaces

These updates result in a cleaner, faster, and more secure job-processing experience, ready for enterprise-scale automation.

mightyBrowser: Reliable Again, and Inventor 2026 Ready

The new mightyBrowser v26 focuses on foundational improvements. It is now fully compatible with Inventor 2026 and includes a licensing update to version 18.4.7.
This resolves several issues, including:

  • Failures during command-line activations

  • Non-functional shortcut to “mightyBrowser Information”

  • Intermittent errors during Inventor startup caused by license notification checks

These changes ensure a smoother experience for users relying on mightyBrowser as part of their Inventor toolset.

A Solid Foundation: powerVault and Licensing Updates

Finally, powerVault v26 includes support for Vault 2026 and an upgraded console for PowerShell 7.4, extending even to Vault 2025 environments. This update ensures consistency and performance across the scripts and automations that power your Vault operations.

Licensing mechanisms have also been updated, most notably in mightyBrowser and across our products, to improve activation reliability and error handling.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 releases are more than just compatibility updates. They introduce meaningful improvements to scripting environments, job processing, ERP integrations, and product stability. With Autodesk Vault and Inventor continuing to evolve, coolOrange tools are ready to meet the moment.
